This Privacy Policy explains how NexDish ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the NexDish mobile application (the "App").

Information We Handle

NexDish handles account information from Apple Sign in or Google Sign-In, information you add or generate in the App (including pantry, recipe, meal-plan, shopping-list, notification, nutrition, personalisation, health, inventory, and expiry information), selected fridge and receipt images, image dimensions and detected results, and RevenueCat subscription and entitlement status.

Authentication, Camera, and Photo Library

The App supports Apple and Google sign-in. Authentication sessions are managed through Supabase and stored securely on supported mobile devices.

With your permission, NexDish uses your camera and photo library to capture or select fridge and receipt images for the scan feature you request.

Fridge and Receipt Scans; AI Processing

When the production scan service is enabled, NexDish securely sends a selected fridge or receipt image to a NexDish Supabase Edge Function. The function sends the image to xAI to identify visible food ingredients or extract grocery receipt lines. Results are returned to the App for your review before you add items to your pantry.

Receipt processing is designed to ignore payment details, loyalty identifiers, addresses, card information, tax identifiers, totals, discounts, deposits, and non-food lines.

When enabled, recipe and kitchen-assistant requests send relevant context, such as pantry and preference information, through a NexDish Edge Function to xAI to generate the requested result.

Supabase and Data Storage

NexDish uses Supabase for authentication, database-backed account data, and Edge Functions. Repository-defined account data includes profiles, pantry ingredients, recipes, weekly meal plans, shopping lists, notification settings, nutrition entries, and certain personalisation, health, inventory, and expiry records.

The repository does not define a Supabase Storage bucket or persistent storage path for scan images. Images are sent to the applicable Edge Function for the requested analysis. This Policy does not make a claim about provider-side retention.

Subscriptions

NexDish uses RevenueCat to configure purchases, restore purchases, associate subscription status with a signed-in user, and determine active premium entitlements. Purchases are processed by the applicable app store.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — authentication, database services, and Edge Functions.
• xAI — AI recipe generation, fridge image analysis, and receipt OCR.
• RevenueCat — subscription management and premium-entitlement handling.
• Apple — Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases.
• Google — Google Sign-In.

Analytics, Cookies, and Error Reporting

The mobile App does not use browser cookies, and the repository does not configure an active product-analytics service. The repository includes optional Sentry error-reporting configuration; if it is enabled in a release, this Policy and App Store privacy disclosures will be updated accordingly.

Your Rights, Retention, and Deletion

Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about the processing of your personal information by contacting support@nexdish.app.

You can delete your NexDish account in the App at Profile → Delete account. An in-app data-export feature is not currently available.

The repository does not define a fixed retention schedule. When you delete your account, NexDish removes repository-defined account data and then deletes the Supabase Auth user. Some records may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or provider systems. App-store purchase records and RevenueCat subscription records are governed by their own policies.

Security and Changes

NexDish uses authenticated Supabase requests, row-level access controls in its database migrations, and server-side Edge Functions for provider secrets. No transmission or storage method is completely secure.

We may update this Policy when the App or applicable law changes and will publish a revised effective date.
